Pentecost 2005

We had a YPG Mass at 6:00pm last Sunday 15th May.

It was the Sunday of Pentecost, and we celebrated by having the flame of the Easter Candle on the Sanctuary carried to everyone in the church - each lighting their own candle from the single flame.

Penetcost is the last time the Paschal candle will be lit during the Mass. From now until next Easter, it will only be lit during Baptisms.

Once we had got everybody's candle lit, we got Fr Anthony to go round with the bucket and see how many he could put out! (Actually, he performed the ceremony of Asperges and blessed the congregation with water!). We all then repeated our Baptismal vows."
