We have exceeded our target of £80,000.

Thank you very much.

All additional donations received from now on will be used to reduce the amount borrowed.

The Church Re-Ordering commenced on
3rd January 2006 and will last for 14 weeks.
The work is scheduled to be completed in time for our Easter Celebrations - Friday, April 14, 2006.

Update @ 7th April
Week Fourteen of fourteen has been completed.

We have a beautiful new Sanctuary and a re-decorated and re-lighted Church.

Unlike the sorry tale of Wembley Stadium, our builders Collinstown have been able to finish on time - give or take a Baptismal Font which will arrive Wednesday or possibly Thursday Morning.

We are also having a new carpet which is being laid on Monday and Tuesday of this week. I hope that you all approve of this re-ordering that has been the fruit of much consultation and planning.

I would like to thank the Architect, Javier Castanon and his team, Gerry Brogue, the foreman and his men from Collinstown, David Barnett, the Quantity Surveyor and Theodore Gillick, our Sculptor who has created the Altar, Ambo Plinth, and Baptismal Font from Mocha stone.

A special thank you also goes to those in the parish who have so generously contributed funds to make this project possible. You have been very supportive. I have not written to everyone individually but hope to do so at some stage.

There have also been many in the parish who have given their time on the planning committee.

I would like to mention especially, Richard Keely, our unofficial watchdog, David Walker who did the watercolour representation and Andrew Perks and his team who kept a keen eye on the finance.

Everything will be in place for Easter, except the Crucifix which will come after Easter.

The Archbishop has kindly agreed to come and dedicate the new Altar on the birthday of Our Lady -
8th September 2006.

Regular updates will appear in the Parish Newsletter, on the noticeboard in the main entrance to the Church and on this page.
