Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults ( RCIA )

This group is also known as the 'Journey in Faith' group. The course exists for those who are contemplating being received into the Catholic church and also for Catholic adults who have not received First Communion and/or Confirmation. The programme usually lasts several months, although people are welcome to join at any time, and culminates in the opportunity to be received into the Catholic Church during the celebration of the Easter Vigil.

Meetings are held every Wednesday evening in the Parish Parochial Centre. The course helps those enquiring about the Catholic faith to come to a greater understanding and knowledge of God and His will for them. Confirmed Catholics are also encouraged to take part in the meetings as a way of deepening their faith and supporting those who are preparing for the Sacraments.
