Parish Lenten Project 2004

The total amount raised this year was

The money will be divided between the 4 charities selected at the start of the Project, each receiving £2,500 - the remaining £254.10 will be kept on account for expenses, e.g. purchase of boxes.
Thank you once again to everyone for their generosity, hard work and support for the Project.
Our beneficiaries wish you to know that you will always be remembered in their prayers. Letters received from them will be displayed.

The Beneficiaries

Domino Savio Junior Conference S.V.P, twinned with Our Lady Immaculate Church S.V.P. St Mary's Upper Primary School, Kerala, India has requested help towards the purchase of computers to aid the education of pupils whose families are unable to support their needs;
R.C.Girls Home, Liavalai, Sri Lanka. A home that cares for children - orphans, abandoned & destitute. The Government grant is approximately £2/month. There is a great need for food, clothing, education & medical care;
Ethopiad - Medical Missionaries of Mary. The nuns provide support and assistance for HIV/AIDS sufferers;
House of Recuperation of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Brazil. An institution, managed by Fr Alferia Bompani, to rehabiltate young people suffering from chemical dependence.
