  The Presbytery

This is the centre of parish administration. Visitors are always welcome, but as the priests have many outside commitments to the sick and housebound, to the Diocese, Catholic schools and other organisations, they are often absent from the presbytery. Arrangements are made, however, to have someone in the house at most times, while an answerphone can take messages at other times. Elaine Intranova, the Parish Administrator, is supported by a group of volunteers who attend on weekdays dealing with a variety of parish business, answering the door and responding to telephone enquiries.

  Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council was set up in 1990 to serve the secular and spiritual needs of the parish and parishioners - its President is the Parish Priest. The Council meets regularly to receive reports from its working parties and to discuss matters of importance to the parish. An Annual General Meeting is held each year in early summer to report back to the parish. Members, representing various age groups are elected by the parishioners, normally for 3 years. Issues of concern are raised by the parishioners with any member of the Council or via the presbytery. The detailed work of the Council is undertaken by working parties, consisting of a Parish Council Member and other parishioners interested in particular aspects of parish life.

  Finance Committee
This committee consists of a number of financial experts, appointed by the Council President. Its co-ordinator is an ex-officio member of the Council and all parish financial matters are in its care. Accounts are presented to the parish at the Parish AGM.

  Maintenance Committee
A small group of volunteers undertake minor maintenance and repair work on church property and advise the President and Council on larger needs and projects. More help is urgently required and parishioners with appropriate skills or experience are requested to contact the parish priest.
